Improvement Study On Cost Control Of H Electric Power Generation Company Limited

In view of the China thermal power industry's development status quo,a new round of electric power reform requires the gradual introduction of competition mechanism to build the electricity market.As Electric is homogeneous,the cost difference becomes an important factor which affects the economic benefits of thermal power enterprises.In order to establish competitive advantage,thermal power generation enterprise must recognize the importance of cost control.They should improve the internal management and cut costs to strengthen competitiveness.H Electric Power Generation Co.,Ltd.is a large-scale thermal power generation enterprise with two sets of 680,000 kilowatts ultra-supercritical coal-fired units.This study combines the characteristics of thermal power generation enterprises with the methods of literature research and case analysis to make an improvement study on cost control of H Electric Power Generation Co.,Ltd.Based on the theory of value chain and cost control,this study analyzes the goals,methods and management objects of value chain analysis in cost control,and puts forward the necessity of using value chain analysis in cost control of thermal power generation enterprises.Combining the analysis of the value chain in thermal power generation enterprises with the actual situation of H Electric Power Generation Co.,Ltd.,this study focus on three aspects which are enterprise fuel cost control,maintenance cost control and material management cost control,and makes an analysis in cost control status quo of H Electric Power Generation Co.,Ltd.Through the analysis of technical indicators and operating activities,this study finds the problems in cost control of the company and analyzes the reasons for the problems.Finally,this study makes improvement suggestions on the company's cost control which are based on the value chain.In the view of the study,H Electric Power Generation Co.,Ltd.can take relevant measures to make the coal-related operations chain better,improve the efficiency of maintenance operations and optimize the material management.The company should also establish a cost control mechanism based on management object to achieve cost control efficiently.Through this study,it provides some feasible methods for the cost control of H Power Generation Co.,Ltd.These methods can produce useful inspiration for other thermal power generation enterprises as well.
