Nowadays,with the trend of global economic,enterprises continue to integrate into the global competitive landscape and face the globalization challenges,questions like how to maintain the enterprise competitiveness,how to survive and develop well in the strong market compaction,good business performance is an important basis.A lot of market experience has proved that the performance management and evaluation of individual is an effective way to improve the overall performance of the organization.As a precision mold manufacturing enterprises,AP's product fits the markets' demand and in line with the national development direction,relying on the company,s strong ability of market development and technical advantages,the scale of AP company geting fast development in recent years.But in terms of personnel performance appraisal,especially in the project department staffs performance appraisal,there are still many problems such as low efficiency,high project development costing and high turnover rate of staffs,so there is still a large gap to the managements goals.Therefore,this article will try to sort out the existing problems of project department's performance appraisal,to improve the performance appraisal system and to make it more in line with the company development strategy,and this paper will also provide a reference for project department performance improvement.AP is a company with technical advantages,the project department is the main technology and R&D teams of the company,the main works of project development are dominated by the project teams,including technology assessment,industry design,time management,quality control,costing management,risk control and so on.so the project department's performance directly affect the company's business efficiency greatly.The personal performance improving can effectively improve the performance of project department,promote the improvement of departmental performance and the realization of corporate development strategy goals.By using the method of integrating theory with practice,this paper analyzed about the present situation of the AP company projects department performance management and evaluation,found the problems,and using investigation method,key performance indicators method,methods of case study,to improve and redesign the performance appraisal system of project department of AP company.The main result of this paper is to combined with the characteristics of AP company,the status of the company and employees' requirement to customize a performance appraisal system for AP company project department,expect to through improve the personal performance and final to improve the overall performance of the AP company,and also provide a reference on department performance management for other precision mold manufacturing enterprises.
