Economic And Trade Cooperation And The Export Trade Potential Between China And Central And Eastern European Countries

The Belt and Road,a national strategy,is a major move in the process of China’s opening up to the outside world,has a very important historical and practical significance.While the construction of the Silk Road Economic Zone,can play a very significant role in promoting the pattern of economic development of China,foreign economic relations and trade cooperation of China and its neighboring countries.CEE（Central and Eastern European）countries have always been one of China’s important trading partners,however,due to various reasons,economic and trade cooperation between China and CEE has not been very smooth.With the gradual construction of the economic corridor,China’s economic and trade cooperation with the CEE countries have gradually become more closely.In this paper,the economic and trade cooperation between China and the 16 countries of CEE as a research object,through the combined method of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,discusses the development of Chinese and CEE countries economic and trade cooperation relations that based on The Belt and Road national strategy.At the first of this paper,the research background and the significance of the research are explained in detail.And the paper expounds the methods of demonstration,the key points and the innovation points and deficiencies,discusses the theories and concepts of economic and trade potential,and makes a detailed introduction of The Belt and Road national strategy.Then this paper analyzes the present situation of economic and trade cooperation through the panel date between China and CEE countries,and discusses the influence of The Belt and Road national strategy for bilateral economic and trade cooperation relations and the existing problems.In the empirical analysis section,this paper adopts stochastic frontier gravity model,use per capita GDP,population and distance trade of traditional gravity model as the dependent variable,Liner shipping connectivity index SHP_jt,Tariff level TAF_jt,Import turnover time TIM_jt,Monetary freedom degree MON_jt,Trade freedom degree TRD_jt,The situation of importing countries that joined the European Union EUN_jt as the influence factors of non efficiency of trade,calculating that the efficiency of China’s exports to the CEE countries at present is at a low level.The most important reason is the Tariff level of importing country is too high,and the situation that the trade partners joined the European Union,cargo liner connectivity and monetary freedom is relatively able to promote a greater degree of trade between the two countries.Low trade efficiency,means huge trade potential at the mean time,development space is relatively broad.This paper analyzes the trade dependence and complementarity between China and CEE countries,to providing effective guiding index for tapping trade potential.At the last,this paper puts forward a series of proposals to strengthen the trade and exchange between China and CEE countries,and outlook the development prospects of economic and trade cooperation between China and CEE countries,mainly bases on The Belt and Road national strategy.
