With the rapid development of national economy and the improvement of people's living standard,food consumption market more and more prosperous,plays an increasingly important role in people's livelihood catering development to boost consumption and expand domestic demand,employment and economic security,catering has gradually become an important economic growth point of the national and regional economic development.Food and beverage industry in Jilin province has been a few years of development,but from the national point of view,the development speed and quality of food and beverage industry in Jilin province are not prominent.Now is the time period after the cold food warming fast development period,the State encourages the development of catering industry to promote the upgrading of Jilin province should seize the opportunity to use a variety of resources for the development of catering economy,enhance the level of competitiveness of catering industry in Jilin province.In this paper,the competitiveness of Jilin catering industry as the research object,first reviews the research at home and abroad of the catering industry,catering industry and related concepts and theory are introduced;secondly,through the analysis of the national food and beverage industry and the development situation of catering industry in Jilin province;then,using modified the "Diamond Model" analysis catering industry competitiveness formation mechanism,and construct the competitiveness of catering industry in Jilin province from four aspects of scale,profit,brand and sustainable development evaluation index system;finally,based on the index data collection and building evaluation index system,analysis of the competitiveness of catering industry in Jilin Province,the expansion of profitability,brand building,the sustainable development of the four aspects of the scale and the comprehensive competitiveness of catering industry by the use of factor analysis and cluster analysis.Through the empirical analysis results,Jilin province food industry expansion ability and the ability to build the brand by the cluster is weak areas,in the last column;profitability and sustainable development capacity by the cluster is less competitive in all areas,in the middle ranks;competitiveness of catering industry belongs to the third in the area,the national food industry development middle ranks,in general,Jilin province food industry competitiveness is weak.Therefore,according to the food and beverage industry in Jilin province development situation and the results of empirical analysis,put forward the following countermeasures to enhance the level of competitiveness of Jilin Province: strengthen the catering industry chain business model,promote the expansion of the scale;pay attention to the construction of catering brand and enhance the brand competitiveness;strengthen the catering personnel training,provide professional talents for the development of the catering industry;optimize the industrial environment,enhance the ability of sustainable development.
