Research On The Financial Strategy Of The Asset-light Profit Model

In the current economic climate,the development of enterprises is facing not only the important strategic opportunities but also many serious challenges.In order to promote the development of quality and efficiency by changing the mode of development,it is necessary to explore the profit model applicable to the future development trend and improve the ability of resource integration and resource allocation.Many large international companies achieve success in the use of asset-light profit model,which makes the asset-light profit model advocating brand,marketing and other soft power's construction respected.However,the success of asset-light profit model is not easy,it is still to be solved whether the enterprise has light assets resources,whether there is an effective financial strategy to support its asset-light profit model,to help enterprises display competitive advantage and achieve sustainable development.This paper starts from asset-light profit model and financial strategy theory and takes Carpenter Tan as research object,then on the basis of current financial strategy of Carpenter Tan,analyzes Carpenter Tan's financial characteristics and makes comprehensive evaluation of financial indicators according to the financial data in the annual report and other related important information.The results show that: Carpenter Tan's financial strategy under asset-light model has positive effect on financial performance,its profitability,cash-creation capacity,value creative ability,risk control ability and growth ability are strong,but the financial indicators in the past two years have shown a downward trend.Then on the base of these,the existing financial strategy problems of Carpenter Tan are studied.After a comprehensive evaluation on Carpenter Tan's profit model,the paper uses the financial strategy matrix tool to analyze annual value creation and capital surplus situation from 2010 to 2015.The results show that:(1)From 2010 to 2011,it is in the first quadrant of financial strategy matrix,which manifests as value-added and short of cash.(2)From 2012 to 2015,it is in the second quadrant of financial strategy matrix and changes from cash shortage to cash surplus,which manifests as value-added and cash remaining.Analysis shows that the financial strategy of Carpenter Tan is reasonable on the whole,enterprise can make decisions combined with the overall development strategy,but financing,investment and profit distribution strategy can make some adjustments.Finally,the paper summarizes the above analysis and puts forward some improving measures to provide some references and paths for enterprises exploring asset-light profit model,which can help them make better prospective financial strategy arrangement and solve financial problems in the light assets operation.
