Study On Logistics Efficiency Of Guangdong Province Based On Super-efficiency DEA

The logistics industrywhich is called economic growth "accelerator" and " the third profit source",has gradually developed into an important symbol of national modernization and comprehensive national strength.Aslo it has become a key factor to promote national economic growth and change the mode of economic growth.The development of the logistics industry not only reduce the production and operating costs of the manufacturing industry,but also improve the labor productivity,save labor costs and create considerable value.It can be said that the development of the logistics industry playa more and more important role in economy.Thus,logistics industry efficiency has become a research focus in the field of logistics.For the logistics industry efficiency of the researchers mostly logistics enterprises on behalf of a region of logistics efficiency,or to study the efficiency of the logistics system formed in a region,the entire logistics industry to study the efficiency of the literature is relatively small.And the current research methods for logistics efficiency mainly focus on Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA),stochastic frontier analysis(SFA),factor analysis and so on.With the deepening of research,DEA and other methods show some drawbacks,so the paper uses thesuper efficiency DEAto overcome the shortcomings of the traditional DEA.In this way the effective DMU can be further analyzed.After summarizing the relevant literatures on logistics efficiency promotion,this paper will makea comprehensive and systematic study on the logistics efficiency of Guangdong Province by using regional economics,logistics management,industrial economics,mathematical economics and econometrics.The steps of the paper as follows:Firstly,the paper analyzes the changes of logistics efficiency of Guangdong Provincefrom 2001 to 2014 by using the super efficient DEA model.The results show that the average efficiency of technological efficiency is 0.970 in Guangdong Province from 2001 to 2014,and the average efficiency of pure technology is 0.977,and the scale efficiency is 0.993.The overall logistics efficiency is higher of Guangdong Provincet.However,the volatility of logistics efficiency is obvious of Guangdong Province from 2001 to 2014,among which the gap is the largest in 2004.It indicates that the development process of logistics industry in Guangdong Province is unstable.Secondly,21 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province are selected as the main line of research,and the panel data of 21 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province from 2010 to 2014 are analyzed.The results show that the logistics of 21 prefecture-level cities is basicly in the benigh development of the state.In a benign state of development,pure technical efficiency is relatively stable,the overall efficiency of less than 0.900.The scale efficiency is the main reason for the inefficiency of Guangdong Province.In addition,the development of logistics industry in 21 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province is uneven and the regional differences are large.Finally,using above analysis results,selecting the appropriate impact indicators,and using SFA method to analyze the factors affecting the logistics efficiency of Guangdong Province.Research shows that:GDP,industrial structure,information technology level can promote the logistics efficiency in Guangdong Province.Short-term urbanization level,the number of students have a certain degree of inhibition on the logistics efficiency.This paper innovatively uses super efficiency DEA method combined with SFA method in Guangdong logistics industry,andconstructesthe logistics efficiency evaluation index system.The results of logistics efficiency and logistics efficiency in Guangdong are obtained and the influencing factors are analyzed according to the empirical results,And finally put forward the relevant reasonable suggestions,the logistics efficiency of China’s research has been added,hoping for the improvement of logistics efficiency in China’s logistics and transformation and upgrading of the logistics industry to provide relevant theoretical and practical support.
