| This research is conducted in chemical industry,specifically in Petrokimia Gresik,Indonesia’s fertilizer factory at their phosphoric acid plant.The goal of this research is minimizing the unplanned shutdown which still commonly occurred.Observing the existing maintenance strategies,preventive and corrective maintenance and with the limitation of time given to maintenance team,furthermore the production characteristic that has to run continuously,as the consequence,number of unscheduled breakdown occurred is still high.Reliability method is emphasizing on maintenance effectiveness both from tasks and interval time maintenance.Further,the demand of effective maintenance strategy trigger the emergence of reliability-centered maintenance(RCM).RCM is getting popular,lot of industries start adopting RCM,from the aircraft to railway industry,even for chemical industry.In order to increase the production rate,applying the proper maintenance task is necessary.With the RCM,maintenance team can use more systematic maintenance framework because it invokes not only maintenance team,but also production team and another experts needed.Although the maintenance time is limited,by utilizing the basics of RCM,such as failure mode and effect analysis(FMEA),and also root cause analysis(RCA)are able to improve the plant availability and suppressing the number of unscheduled shutdown. |
