Aircraft maintenance equipment management is the important scale of airways' fertility level and management modernization. Along with civil aviation fast growing, a great lot of advanced airplanes and maintenance equipments have been introduced into China. Weather or not can they run these equipments efficient, it makes materially sense for reducing airways' operating costs, boosting facilities utilizing efficiency and increasing companies' benefits. However, at present research on the aircraft maintenance equipment management is still at the underway stage for domestic airways. There is no perfect management pattern to follow. It has a close need for efficient pattern, aiming at the practice of aircraft maintenance.This article starts with the facts of aircraft maintenance. It discussed the laggard status in quo of China Southern Airlines aircraft maintenance equipment management. With the guidance of the Reliability Centered Maintenance, imposing the method of data statistics, state monitoring and costs analysis, it carries out aircraft maintenance trend management. And confirms the fault preventive maintenance countermeasure according to standardization logic principle, finally, constitutes the maintenance outline. At the same time, it use the Total Productive maintenance to ameliorate locale management and emphasis on cooperation and reconstructing the organization to meet the need of RCM.For the first time in the civil aviation, the author brings forward the new maintenance management pattern, RCM as the nucleus and TPM as the supplement. He calls it aircraft maintenance equipment management based on total RCM. It has been running for half a year in 2005. All the reliability indexes are increased. At the same time, by reconstructing the organization, it eliminated the severe management infirmities, and improved the overall efficiency of CSA DALIAN BRANCH. Operating costs have been under effective control of the company. Practices have proved the new pattern assure of safety production and assets reliability. It could reduce the workload by 40 percent to 70 percent and boost the equipment utilizing efficiency.
