A Comparative Study Into The Regional Independent Innovation Capabilities Of Kazakhstan And China Xinjiang

Nowadays,international competition and regional economic development is becoming fiercer by the day.For this reaosn,the ability to make independent innovations has become a key aspect of a particular region?s,even a whole country’s economic competitiveness.Improving the ability to make innovations independently and strengthening competitiveness has become one of the key factors in promoting the development of regional economy.This paper shall take ?Regional Independent Innovation Capability?(RIIC)as its focus of investigation,aiming to compare and evaluate such capabilities in both Xinjiang,China and Kazakhstan.In this paper,a summary is made of related literature from both in and out of China.Firstly,the author will not only provide a scientific definiton of innovation,independent innovation and the capability of regional independent innovation,but also identify its possible contribution to the sustainable economic development of our country.Secondly,based on the aforementioned given definition,this paper shall comment upon the factors which may influence regional independent innovation capability.Furthermore,taking the indexing systems in existing research as a point of reference,this paper shall establish its own indexing system(comprised of a total of three levels and thirteen indexes)suitable for the evaluation of independent innovation capability in both Xinjiang and Kazakhstan.Through the estalishment of its own evaluation and indexing system,this paper shall make use of data from the years between 2000-2015,using a factor analysis approach to conduct empirial research on the regional independent innovation ability of Xinjiang,China and Kazakhstan.Results have shown that the regional capability of Xinjiang to conduct independent innovation has seen a rapid development in recent years.However,when compared with Kazakhstan,one can see that each system has its own good and bad points.Finally,taking the conclusions reached by the author and combining them with the existing problems,this paper shall put forward a series of suggestions to aid the construction of Xinjiang?s regional independent innovation capability.This is the most important section of this thesis.In conclusion,on the basis of the analyses proposed above,the author has addressed the inadequacies of this thesis and possible prospects for research in the future.
