Temporal And Spatial Evolution Of Tourism Hinterland In The Yangtze River Delta Tourism Hotspot Based On The Plume Model

With the rapid development of city tourism, tourism competition between the cities is becoming more and more intense.Therefore, it is very important for the future development of tourism hot cities and hinterland to determine the hinterland limits of the tourist city and to master the evolution of its hinterland. The paper takes Shanghai,Hangzhou, Suzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi and Ningbo six hot tourism cities in the Yangtze River Delta as the research object.With the combination of theories like the tourism system theory, core periphery theory and advantage theory, the paper constructs the evaluation index system of tourism city tourism strength and fixes plume model to apply to the division of Tourism hinterland.By Using the GIS spatial analysis technology ,the paper realizes the division of tourism city tourism hinterland in Yangtze River Delta and then sums up the evolution characteristics of Tourism hinterland about the tourism hot cities in Yangtze River Delta.Finally, based on evolution characteristics, the paper puts forward rational suggestions for the tourism hot cities in Yangtze River Delta.This study shows that: (1) when measuring the tourism hot city tourism strength,the paper determinates from four aspects, such as tourism resources, tourism economic development level, tourism facilities, tourism conditions of economic and social development level. Finally it proves that tourism development of tourism hot cities in the Yangtze River Delta presents "one super power and many powers"situation, "one" refers to Shanghai, many refer to Hangzhou, Suzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi and Ningbo;(2)the calculation results show that: Jiaxing, Zhoushan, Nantong has always been divided into Shanghai tourism hinterland; Shaoxing Huzhou, Lishui,Quzhou, evolution, can always be divided into Hangzhou tourism hinterland;Zhenjiang, Xuzhou, Taizhou, Lianyungang, Huaian, Yangzhou, Suqian has always been divided into Nanjing tourism hinterland; Taizhou can always be divided into the hinterland of Ningbo;(3) through analysing the results of the Tourism hinterland Division of 2005, 2010 and 2015 ,it gets the evolution of tourism hot cities’ tourism Hinterland in Yangtze River Delta region: overall stability and local changes obviously; tourism city’s own tourism strength affects the class of hinterland; distance affects the degree of difficulty when dividing the hinterland; the imbalance of tourism development is the driving force of evolution; (4) basing on the hinterland distribution of tourist hot city in the Yangtze River Delta, we put forward the corresponding development suggestions:strengthen regional cooperation,achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation; improve infrastructure, improve the intensity of tourism; develop targeted products and enhance the quality of service; government rational planning and coordination of industry development.This paper introduces the concept of "plume model" ,revises it, puts forward the measure of "tourism hinterland plume model",and then succeeds the hinterland division of tourism hot cities in the Yangtze River Delta.It provides an empirical case study of tourism city hinterland division. To a certain extent ,it widens the research content and the perspective of city tourism, and riches the research methods of city tourism.According to the empirical results, we can realize the overall planning,system development and linkage development of various resources elements in the Yangtze River Delta region, so as to achieve the maximum market value of regional tourism resources and to maximize the overall efficiency.
