With the development of economy and the recession of China's demographic dividend,the labor cost is rising and the international trade competition is increasing year by year.Meanwhile,under the international economic continuous downturn,the competition between companies is becoming increasingly violent,especially for the white household appliances industry,the competition is more and more fierce.In this situation,each white household appliances manufacturer promotes the efficiency of production to reduce manufacturing costs and enhance the enterprise competitiveness.S company is a labor-intensive white household appliances manufacturer,which is influenced by domestic and international environment and fast development of domestic white household appliances manufacturer like Haier,Hisense,Midea and others.S company's living space is further compressed and its production efficiency improvement becomes urgent.This thesis targets S company refrigerator production line as the research object,combines technological process and product features of refrigerator production line,and uses the application and practice of IE theory,to carry out refrigerator production line production efficiency improvement study.Through the study of current production situation,for instance operation man-hour efficiency,production line breakdown,materials storage,manual operation,and production environment and others to find out the major problems affecting the production efficiency,like labor efficiency problem,equipment problem,logistics problem,operating problem and environment problem,then respectively analyze and improve the Man,Machine,Material,Method and Environment aspects.Line Balance is applied for labor efficiency improvement,through measuring the operation time to find to the bottleneck engineering,disperse engineering,the abnormal operation engineering and others,and apply ECRS principle to respectively improve labor efficiency.Equipment problem mainly adopts PRO-3M overall improvement activities,breakdown index management,and automation improvement to reduce equipment breakdown and improve equipment efficiency.Logistics problem mainly adopts factory layout improvement,transport load rate improvement and others to improve logistics efficiency.Operating and environment problem mainly uses production process and operating methods improvement to enhance operating efficiency and environment.Through the implementation of above improvement plan,great changes has taken place on S company production line;each production index has risen steadily,production efficiency has greatly improved,and economic effects become remarkable.This thesis makes a detailed introduction and practice of white household appliances manufacturer on IE theory application method and steps,and summarizes some plant planning and design standard,such as table trolley design standard,logistics route design standard,factory layout standard and others.In the aspect of management,this thesis presents PRO-3M overall activities,MTTR,operating man-hour efficiency,and other index management methods,which provides production efficiency improvement practice experience and reference value for other scholars and household appliances manufacturers.
