Team leader as the core and soul of a team,who not only undertakes the organization of the production,safety supervision,technical guidance,coordination and task allocation,etc,and is the bridge of the implementation of the system and measures,communication link of the enterprise and employees.Research on competency model of team leaders in railway transport enterprises,which analyzes and abstracts the competency of team leaders that adapt to the environment of railway transport enterprises and job characteristics,guiding the selection and training to a group of team leaders who adapt to the organization development and job requirement in railway transport enterprises,plays an important role of long-term development and the construction of talent team for the railway transport enterprises.In this paper,firstly,a literature review approach was adapted and then by analyzing the literature six categories of team leaders,competencies were concluded,providing the basis for next name of entry of competency;based on which,16 team leaders from the excellent group and regular group were selected for behavioral event interview,through the extraction,analysis and integration of the critical behavior and got 26 entries of competency of team leaders in railway transport enterprises.Secondly,through the statistical analysis stage of attempt of the questionnaire and the formal questionnaire,finally received 17 competency factors;SPSS21.0 was adopted to conduct an exploratory factor analysis of the data collected from the questionnaires,the conclusion showed that 5 common factors were summarized:knowledge and skills,professional quality,the ability of team building,psychological quality and culture and management ability for a team.Among them,technical ability,practical experience,safety knowledge,and ability to learn continuously belong to the knowledge and skills;the sense of responsibility,honesty and integrity,professional ethics consist of professional quality;training and guidance,care about subordinates,teamwork and ability of communication are members of the ability of team building;self-control,physical condition,and the ability to handle emergencies belong to psychological quality and culture;organization and coordination,plan and implement,the ability to act as a role model consist of the team management ability,and finally got the competency model of team leaders in railway transport enterprises,which was consisted of 5 dimensions and 17 competency factors.Thirdly,by using the principle of the structural equation model,the software AMOS21.0 was applied to do a confirmatory factor analysis of the first-order correlated factors model and the second-order model.The result indicated that the model fitting indicators are within an acceptable range,which means that confirmatory data fits the model very well and proved the effectiveness of the constructed model.Finally,the competency model of team leaders wasapplied to SS railway company and explore team leaders,recruitment selection,training and performance evaluation basing on the competency model.Through this study,the competency model of team leaders in railway transport enterprises was established,also was verified,and on this basis,the competency model of team leaders is used to practice,which has provided a theoretical basis and guide of practice for the selection and development of the team leaders in railway transport enterprises.
