China's Foreign Direct Investment In Thailand (2001-2015)

Foreign direct investment (FDI) is vital to the economic development of developing countries.It can provide financial investment beyond domestic saving levels. It is not only one reason, FDI can do much more than this. FDI can bring know-how and new technologies to developing countries. Therefore,the advantages of FDI include the long term economic growth so developing countries including Thailand would seek and take a chance to get this benefits both in bilateral, regional and international level.In recent decade, China economy became the significant actor in the world economy. In addition, China was ranked as one of the top three FDI countries. Definitely, it has a great impact on Asian economies including Thailand. As Thailand and China has close and long history in all level such as state, government and people to people. Moreover close in many aspect such as in terms of politics,economy, social and cultural. Nowadays, there are many Chinese live in or visit to Thailand. The researcher would like to study about Chinese foreign direct investment in Thailand in the period of 2001 until 2015 due to the period of accession into the member of World Trade Organization (WTO) with the changing of regional and world economy. In addition, in 2008 that causing of the struggling global economy. All of these may affect into China's FDI.The purpose of this research to examine the plan and pattern situation that push and pull factors of Chinese FDI in Thailand beyond to the impacts on two countries. The result of this research is the need to observe and study on literature review, secondary data and news to considering in all aspect then analyze. Through this research, it will promote Thailand and China relations overall aspect, especially- in economy with FDI and bring more knowledge for Thai and Chinese companies and government in practical.In order to achieve objective of this research, to study through quantitative research and literature review method. This research is divided into four parts in the following;The first chapter: the paper introduces the purpose and significance of the research, research framework, research method and the literature review in related documents both inside and outside Thailand.The second chapter: the studying the Chinese outward foreign direct investment, about the kc\stage development of Chinese outward foreign direct investment. the statistic of Chinese outward foreign direct investment and Chinese foreign direct investmert in ASEAN as Thailand is one of members association.The third chapter: the studying foreign direct investment in Thailand. It is about the development FDI in Thailand, investment promotion policies, the trend of Chinese FDI in Thailand through the factor attractive the investors to invest in Thailand. Moreover giving the key Chinese investors to invest in Thailand and the example Chinese companies in Thailand.The fourth chapter: The conclusion of Chinese FDI in Thailand and the impacts on Thailand and China relations since 2001-2015. It will summarize and give recommendation both Thailand and China.
