Research On The Management Of The Potato Scale In WuChuan County

Potato is one of the main grain crops in China.The stable production of potato is an important foundation to ensure food security in China.The WuChuan County of Inner Mongolia is the fine area producing high-quality products which have been the specialproducts of fresh potato during the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.The unique natural resources and suitable climate provides very favorable conditions for the WuChuan potato.Therefore,WuChuan potato has become one of the most representative and widely cultivated crops.More than half of the local farmers' income comes from the potato industry.However,with the advancement of urbanization in our country,the relationship between man and land has changed and some of the land has been abandoned.Also the potato plant cost increase,coupled with farmers scattered,small scale of production,low efficiency,unreasonable structure of varieties,intensification,and slow-moving frequent issues have become increasingly prominent.Under this background,it is necessary to study the scale operation of WuChuan potato,so as to provide theoretical basis and suggestions for the better development of potato industry in WuChuan County.This paper is based on the theory of economy of scale.The study begins with the current situation of large-scale operation of WuChuan potato.By the analysis of the current WuChuan potato planting area,yield,land transfer,the degree of mechanization,circulation and brand building,and the pattern of potato scale operation the problem,we draw a conclusion that the problems of the development of potato scale operation.As economic crops,the potato industry promotes local economic development strategic position.The paper clarifies the necessity of scale business of WuChuan potato.The analysis found that the current scale of potato in WuChuan county still has the following problems.The market fluctuations in anticipation of the price of potato effects farmers'expectations,the land transfer mechanism is not perfect,the scale is small,the ability of anti-risk is weak,lack of professional agricultural extension staff and other problems,which affects the development of large-scale operation of the WuChuan potato.Through the investigation,visiting WuChuan county agriculture and animal husbandry industry bureau,and talking about with the agricultural technology promotion personnel and the local representative of the person in charge of the main business,This paper gives WuChuan further countermeasures and suggestions to improve the management of the potato scale in improving the circulation mechanism from the land,smoothing sales channels training the farmers,strengthening government support,the norm of management subject,the production and processing bases of potato.Finally puts forward the prospect of the development of the potato business scale in WuChuan County.In order to guide the main business truly scientific cultivation,standardized management,reasonable management,in improving the yield and quality of products and increase the income of farmers,at the same time,it also provides a reference for the development of potato scale operation in other areas.
