A Comparative Analysis Of Scientific Communication Between China And America

Science communication is a comprehensive academic field,which has been widely concerned by the educational circles(especially the research universities),the scientific and technological circles and the press.This paper mainly focuses on the analysis and Reflections on the theory of science communication,in order to construct theoretical system of scientific communication and analysis through the comparison between China and America,from the characteristics of American science communication,based on China's national conditions,in order to find the Countermeasures for science communication in China in order to better promote China's development of science communication,science communication and our work provides a theoretical basis for practice.Scientific communication is a scientific activity which aims to disseminate scientific knowledge,improve the scientific literacy of citizens and promote the scientific spirit.Its basic task is to spread the scientific knowledge,scientific thought,scientific method and scientific spirit of human beings to the society through various ways and means.Nowadays,with the rapid development of science and technology,knowledge economy has become the mainstream.The success of scientific communication is directly related to the scientific literacy,international competitiveness,national prosperity and so on.To sum up,it is necessary to develop scientific communication.In recent years,China's science communication has been greatly developed.However,due to the spread of Science in China than in western developed countries started late,so many measures are not perfect,there are a series of problems.The purpose of this study is to solve these problems and make the scientific communication work in a healthy and orderly way.The first chapter briefly introduces the meaning of science communication,and on this basis,traces back to the historical origin of scientific communication,as well as exploring the links and differences between popular science,public understanding of science and scientific communication.The second chapter of science communication in the United States,mainly on the four important aspects of the science communication policy,organization,media and the main activities,and hope that through the above outline of contemporary American science communication outline,lay the foundation for the summary of their characteristics.The third chapter of science communication in China,mainly on the four important aspects of science communication in China policy,organization,media and the main activities,and the science communication of China and the United States were compared,referring to the merits of the United States,the analysis to find the advantages and disadvantages in our country based on the conditions of China.To lay the foundation for the further development of science communication in china.The last chapter summarizes the current problems and causes of scientific communication in China,and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures,hoping to promote the efficient development of scientific communication work through the proposed solutions.In short,this paper aims to further analysis of the meaning of science communication,science communication through comparison of the similarities and differences in the background based on the situation of our country,find the shortcomings of science communication in China,learn from the experience of the United States,so as to put forward constructive suggestions,make science communication industry in our country has made great development.
