Analysis On The Change Of Maize Production Cost And Influencing Factors In Liaoning Province

Maize is one of the three major food crops in China.It contains both rich edible value and high economic value.Liaoning Province,as an important maize production base in China,has been rising in recent years.But with the rise in prices and the reduction of arable land in Liaoning Province,the production costs of maize continue to rise,which directly affects the farmers to plant maize economic benefits,will reduce the enthusiasm of farmers planting maize.Therefore,this paper hopes to find out the reasonable suggestions to maintain the healthy development of maize planting in Liaoning Province and improve the economic efficiency.First of all,this paper analyzes the changes of maize production cost in Liaoning Province,and explains from the perspectives of numerical and structural aspects.It is found that the production cost of maize is increasing continuously and the growth rate of production cost is divided into stable and rapid rise and continued to decline in four stages.From the composition of the cost of production structure,the ratio of material and service costs and land costs is declining and the proportion of labor costs is increasing.Then,the production cost of maize in Liaoning Province was compared with the national average level and the other two provinces in Northeast China.It was found that the cost of maize production in Liaoning Province was higher than the others.The results showed that the scale of maize,the amount of mechanical input,the area of effective irrigation,the amount of fertilizer used and the amount of artificial input had significant relationship with the change of maize production cost.There were positive correlations between mechanical input,fertilizer use and artificial input Sex,fertilizer use on behalf of the input of the means of production,manual input on behalf of human costs,reasonable control of these two inputs can reduce the production costs of maize.Maize planting scale and effective irrigation area showed a negative correlation,improve the level of these two can also reduce the production cost of maize in Liaoning Province.Finally,according to the results of this study,the following measures are put forward to reduce the production cost of maize in Liaoning Province:increase the input of science and technology and improve the level of agricultural production technology;improve the level of agricultural mechanization and reduce the cost of manpower;expand the scale and perfect Land transfer system,to promote farmers’ land management will;rational planning maize planting layout,play the advantages of various regions.
