With the development of global knowledge economy,innovation has become the topic of all countries in the world.Innovative activities are increasingly complex and uncertain,innovation is no longer achieved by just one subject alone,but to rely on the effective interaction and mutual cooperation between multiple subjects.The knowledge of universities is open,the knowledge of enterprises is closed or unique,and the knowledge of research institutions is semi-open.The knowledge of the three has a strong heterogeneity and complementarity.The difference makes the three innovation subjects complete each other and have cooperative innovation to optimize the allocation of innovative resources and improve innovation performance.At present,the industry-university-research institution collaboration has become the focus of researchers among all the world.The industry-university-research institution collaboration has become a hot topic that academia and science-technology policy departments focus on.The triple helix theory was an innovative structural theory proposed by Henry Etzkowitz and Loet Leydesdorff in 1995,and the triple helix algorithm(THA)that based on triple helix theory and Shannon entropy theory is widely used to quantitatively measure the cooperative relationship among universities,industries and government departments.The study found:First,overall,2005-2012,the number of patents and the number of papers in China’s solar energy industry have shown obvious growth trend,so the two may have a certain mutual promotion relationship.Second,according to the number of patents granted,the participation of universities and research institutes is very low,and according to the number of papers published,the participation of enterprises is very low.Thirdly,based on the patent data,according to the two-dimensional mutual information measure of the industry-university-research institution collaboration relations show that the relationship between universities and enterprises is the most close,followed by enterprises and research institutes,and the relationship of universities and research institutes is the least close.Fourth,based on the data of the paper,according to the two-dimensional mutual information measure of the industry-university-research institution collaboration relations show that the relationship between universities and research institutes is the most close,followed by enterprises and universities,and the relationship of enterprises and research institutes is the least close.Fifth,based on patent data and paper data,the results of three-dimensional mutual information show that from 2005 to 2014,the three-dimensional mutual information values are negative and change little,indicating that during this period the industry-university-research institution collaboration relation has not changed greatly and universities,industry and research institutes have formed stable innovation cooperation relationship.
