Research On Sustainable Livelihoods Of Farmers Around Liyou County In Shaanxi Province

The issue of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" has always been a major concern in the process of national development.Since the "13th Five-Year Plan" promulgated,the state has focused on the development of agriculture and the promotion of rural poverty alleviation.According to the existing research,based on the actual of rural areas,improve farmers' livelihood capital status,promote farmers' livelihood strategy diversity,increase farmer' income,continue to the target of strengthening agriculture is particularly important.Based on the field survey data in Linyou County of Shaanxi Province,using the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach(SLA)of UK Department for International Development(DFID)to this study.According to the situation of Linyou country,construct the Structural Equation Model(SEM)to study the farmers' livelihoods of poor areas.On the basis of the survey data in Linyou County of Shaanxi Province,we collected data from 30 administrative villages in seven towns,and we got a total of 280 valid questionnaires.This paper analyzes the relationship between livelihood assets(including natural assets,human assets,physical assets and financial assets),livelihood Strategies and livelihood outcomes according to the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach.Build the chainof livelihood assets—livelihood strategies—livelihood outcomes,which will analyze the complex relationship among the three,and finding ways to increase farmers' income from multiple perspectives.In this paper,using the statistical software SPSS20.0 and AMOS20.0 to do this work,like the statistical analysis of the data and the validation of the results equation,at the same time,exploring the complex relationship among the three.The results show that human assets and physical assets have direct positive impact on the livelihood strategies,and at the same time,both of them have direct and indirect effects on livelihood outcomes.Financial assets has no significant effect on skill training,and it has positive impact on the concurrent operation,and at the same time,it has direct and indirect positive effect on income increase.Natural assets has direct negative impact on the concurrent operation,but has direct and positive impact on skills training,while it has no significant effect on income increase.Therefore,we can draw a conclusion that improving the livelihood assets of farmers can increase the income to some extent,which is helpful to improve the poverty situation in poor areas.At the same time,these two livelihood strategies,such as skills training and concurrent operation,and they can also increase the income of rural households,which can be used as a reference for the improvement of poverty in poor areas.Based on the research results,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: it is necessary to improve the livelihood of the farmers in the poverty-stricken areas;And the government try to provide diversified skills training opportunities,which it can enhance the quality of the laborers;And,the government should try its best to create diversified employment channels and expand the concurrent business opportunities.
