Research On An Embroidered Pattern And Farmers` Sustainable Livelihoods

With frequent exchanges and social mobility between urban and rural areas,rural people tend to choose different ways of living which is mainly based on their livelihood capital, as a result, rural livelihood is becoming increasingly diversified. An investigation is conducted on the interaction between poor farmers and "An embroider" culture industry companies, and also on liaison between the “company + base + farmer" pattern of An embroidery company and the sustainable livelihood of farmers.Based on the process and characteristics of An embroidery pattern,and the guidance of sustainable livelihood,this paper starts with analysis on An people’s family structure, livelihood capital position and strategy adopted,and then arrives at the idea that An farmers has formed a new livelihoods structure which are“farm,work,embroidery”.A key research is focus on the connection between An pattern and farmers’ sustainable livelihood.It is believed that women,as human capital,could be enhanced from ordinary to senior embroider through training and influence of other multiple factors.Moreover,the new mode fills the seasonal expenses under the separate family structure o f “men to work while women to farm”, strengthens the sustainability of family and thus structure strengthen on the whole family livelihood.In conclusion, this paper hold that the sustainable livelihood "output" of An embroidery has not only improved rural lifestyle, promoted local culture writing,but also driving the changes of the local culture.
