With the rapid development of urbanization in our country,machinery manufacturing industry has been developing rapidly.However,the lagging management mode does not match the substantial growth of corporate profits.In this case,how to get rid of the original extensive management mode,especially how to use effective performance management to enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of enterprises has become a serious problem that a number of enterprises in this industry have to handle.At present,the performance management concept has been adopted by a lot of enterprises in machinery manufacturing industry,but there still exist many problems in the actual operation.The overall level of performance management is still low,which is still difficult to meet the needs of enterprise development.In this context,we need to constantly adjust the direction of enterprise performance management in machinery industry,seriously study the real effective management mode,and construct performance management system that is suited to the enterprise,thus lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the enterprise.In this paper,B company is taken as the research object,on the basis of in-depth analysis of the concept and definition of performance management,the paper summarizes the main classification,the main characteristics of the performance and the relationship of performance management and performance evaluation.Then through the investigation of B company's employee performance management situation,it further finds out the problems and shortcomings in the performance management of B company,which are mainly reflected in the lack of scientific management,timely feedback and communication.The fact that performance management did not play incentive effect,the performance evaluation index and evaluation methods did not play the desired effect is shown in five aspects,and the paper analyzes the main causes of the existing problems and shortcomings.Finally it puts forward the optimization scheme of B company's performance management and support plan.After the implementation of the performance management scheme for a period of time,the evaluation results were fully utilized,which improved the employees,satisfaction,so as to integrate their work objectives and development goals of the enterprise,and ultimately enhanced the comprehensive competitive ability of the enterprise,seized more market share in the fierce competition.
