Performance management is an important module in human resource management to ensure the implementation of the enterprise and achieve the strategic objectives. Enterprises should be based on the actual situation of their own and set up a suitable,rational and effective performance management system.In this paper,the author analyzes and study the existing performance management system scientifically,sums up the shortcomings,analyzes the reasons of shortcoming and tries to improving performance management system by setting up key performance indicators according to modern performance management principles and methods.I hope that through this paper will have a practical significance.Firstly,the paper can provide a theoretical basis and improve performance management system;Secondly,the paper may provide reference for other similar companies to set up and improve the performance management system.The main line of the paper is giving questions,analyzing problems and solving the problems.The paper includes the following parts:part 1,The author puts forward the subject selection background,research significance and studying ideas and methods;Part 2,The author deeply studies performance,performance management-related theory and methods,discusses the characteristics of performance management in small and medium-sized company and take as the theoretical support for this paper;Part 3,the author briefly introduces A company's industry background and development history,overviews the current situation of human resources and analyses the existing the performance management system.;Part 4,the author deeply analyzes the main shortcomings of the existing performance management system and the reasons of the main problems;Part 5, based on the advanced performance management and the successful experience of Both Chinese and foreign enterprise performance management and combined with A company's actual situation,the author uses key performance indicators(KPI)to improve the performance management system;Part 6,the author proposes some effective policies to ensure the successful implementation of the new performance management system;Part 7, the author summarize the whole paper,points out the deficiencies and the future research directions of performance management.
