Coperion's Supply Chain Management Optimization And Implementation

As the world economy enters into the era of globalization and informatization,market competition becomes more vehemence,the uncertainty and individuation of users' requirements adds,product life cycle shortens and product structure turns more and more complex,which puts forward new requirements to the enterprise management pattern.In the 1980s,Supply Chain Management(SCM)became popular.As a new kind of management thought,SCM is based on an overall,global view to plan,organize,ordinate and control the business and partnership in the supply chain.In recent years,SCM has been widely appreciated and used by the global manufacturing due to its high agility,low production cost and short production cycle.SCM is becoming an important mode of modern enterprise management.With the development of the global production organization pattern among enterprises,SCM has received more and more attention as the key of enterprise competition.The theory and practice of SCM continues to develop and improve.SCM in plastic machinery manufacturing industry is representative for its various components and long supply chain,but most of the existing research focused on the auto industry and large retail industry,only a few focused on this field.COPERION(Nanjing)Machinery Co.Ltd.has regarded quality and technology as its core competitiveness for a long time,while lacks enough attention to the supply chain management.This paper takes COPERION as the research object and analyzes its supply chain management in detail.The whole article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduction,elaborating on the research background,aim,significance,the main idea and method of the paper.The second chapter reviews the research on supply chain management at home and abroad:firstly,introduces the connotation and characteristics of SCM;and secondly,reviews the research in this field.The third chapter describes the general situation of COPERION and the present situation of its supply chain management,and analyzes the existing problems.The fourth chapter is Optimizing the SCM of COPERION,in which we design optimization of its supply chain management and establish implementation plan and training security strategy for the problems mentioned above.In the fifth chapter,we summary the purpose,point out the limitations and make a forecast of this study.
