In recent years,the demands on new energy car goes more and more "hot" at local and global market,in the meantime,the design complexity of the new energy car goes more and more complicated with most powerful features inside.How to design the optimized RD process based on current one considering the uncertain of customer requirements,frequently modifications,etc.,it is a very valuable project.As an engaged in auto parts production and pure electric vehicle manufacturing company,V company in automobile industry has "all the auto parts aftermarket product line experts" reputation.But with the investigation and study of the process on its RD process,V company's new product development project management has some problems,such as process planning blindly pursuing market hot spots,the response on customer change is slow,the late phase the implementation changes frequently and the process assessment has such problems as "informal" phenomenon.Also,together with the current local business mode,customer always want to change their requirement definition frequently and time to market,the knowledge sharing and protection is not well organized,above all,the current structure design process cannot fulfill the needs of the customer.Based on the above problems,how to improve/optimize the RD process is the objective of the article.Combined with the enterprise's project management knowledge for product development,fully using the process optimization theory,in-depth analysis of V company's product development process,aiming at the existing problems and its product development process is scientific and reasonable optimization design,thus improve their innovation ability,increase customer demand,strengthening scheme change response mechanism,and enhance collaboration and coordination between departments.Targeting the above issues,and considering current situation of V company,An optimized process solution was defined in terms of new product design strategy and fully verification and validation concept.From the aspect of process milestone/tollgate and RD department organization,the new process was also followed the Plan-Design-Implementation-Check methodology.Finally thanks to the implementation of the optimized process at V company,the assessment result of the process shows very good performance in terms of efficiency,cost saving and risk management by comparing the innovation capability,response to the customer new requirement,internal change and the cooperation between departments.The target of improving the customer satisfaction is given.
