The Research Of Transportation Problems Between Chinese And Russian Frontier Ports

Since the establishment of the strategic cooperative partnership between China and Russia more than ten years ago,the partnership and mutual trusts between the two countries have grown steadily to facilitate closer strategic cooperations in international affairs,and in economic developments.Transportation and related infrastructures at border points have become a foundation element in ensuring the economic developments between China and Russia,how to meet and manage the demands for transportation and infrastructures and meet these challenges and opportunities is an important question that shall be examined carefully.The article took an overview on the cross—border trades between the two countries,summarizing its characteristics and current status,applying the geo—economic methodology,political economic theories,macro-economic approaches and systematic analysis,relying on a large selection of materials and data on Sino.Russian trades,it provides a detail analysis on the destinations and origins of cargo flows between China and Russia,and its impacts on transport channels and transport infrastructure.Taking consideration that Russia is the largest neighbour country to China,with a borderline of over 4300 kilometers and many border crossing along the border,the article further examined and summarized the historical developments,current status,characteristics and issues facing Sino-Russian trades in conjunction with a detailed analysis on the socio—economic developments at the various border crossing regions undertook,it forms a view on future economic cooperations and the developments on Sino-Russian trades.This is the basis and framework for furtheranalysis on the transport infrastructure requirements.The article also provided a summary on the transport infrastructure available at each countries,and existing cooperations already in place in transport logistic arrangements between China and Russia,focusing on road and port facilities.Following a detailed analysis and evaluation on the transport infrastructure,the achievements and the problems facing the two countries in transport facilitation were summarized.
