Spatio-temporal Measurement And Diagnosis Of Obstacle Factors On Sustainable Development Of Tourism In Guangdong Province

With the rapid development of tourism,social economy and urbanization,the depth of the negative impact of the ecological environment continue to increase,which gradually endanger the ecological security of tourism destination.By selecting Guangdong province as the example,based on pressure-status-response(PSR)model,this paper establishes the evaluation systems of sustainable tourism development,then applies entropy weight and synthetic evaluation model to analysis spatio-temporal variation characteristics of sustainable tourism development in Guangzhou and adopts obstacle degree model to diagnose the main limiting factors on tourism sustainable development,finally applies synthetic evaluation model and coupling coordination model to estimate comprehensive index of both tourism economy and ecological environment,and to analysis their coordinated relations.The main result are shown as follows:(1)From the aspect of spatio-temporal variation characteristics of sustainable tourism development,the comprehensive index showed rising trend,and the security level raised from the risk grade to the relatively safe grade from 2005-2014.Besides Jieyang,developing levels of sustainable tourism of other 20 cities have improved from 2005 to 2014.(2)From the index layer,the biggest obstacle factor of sustainable tourism development in Guangdong province is urban living sewage treatment from 2005 to 2008,the biggest one is solid waste discharged from 2009 to 2010,and the biggest one is urbanization rate from 2011 to 2014,and the main influence factors shifted from factors of environmental economy to the ones of social economy.From the point of target layer,now pressure system becomes the main factor to hinder the promotion of sustainable tourism development level in Guangdong province.(3)The study of coordinated relationship between the development of tourism economy and ecological environment shows: 1)Comprehensive index of both tourism economy and ecological environment shows rising trend,and correlation between them is outstanding from 2005 to 2014.2)Coupling coordination degree of tourism economy and ecological environment has been increasing year by year in Guangdong province,which can be divided into three stages: the unbalanced development stage from 2005 to 2008,the transitional development stage from 2009 to 2011,and the coordinated development stage from 2012 to 2014.3)From the point of space development,comprehensive developing levels of tourism economy of 21 cities in Guangdong province have significant improvement,while ecological environment changes of 21 cities have three trends: keeping rise,wavelike rise and wavelike decline.Coupling coordination degrees between tourism economy and ecological environment of 21 cites totally increase.Before 2014,most cities are affected by tourism economy,while in 2014,most cities are affected by ecological environment.Based on the above conclusions,four control strategies of sustainable tourism development for Guangdong province are put forward.They are separately the implementation of the strategy of ecological security pattern in Guangdong province,scientific and overall planning of the relationship between urbanization and the tourism industry,the improvement of environmental governance mechanism,and the development of tourism environment carrying capacity control strategy in Guangdong Province.
