Research On The Promotion Countermeasures Of SMEs Independent Innovation Capability Based On RJVs

With the deepening development of international economic globalization and regional economic integration,the most important core resources and key factors for enterprises’ development transform into scientific and technological innovation from the traditional factors of production such as labor,capital and land gradually.Therefore,if the enterprises want to realize the sustainable development and gain a competitive advantage,the scientific and technological innovation must be in the first place.But,the increase of R&D investment cost and risk,the lack of scientific and technological personnel and the imperfect of research and development platform make bottlenecks for the further development of SMEs’ independent innovation ability both at home and abroad.Under the background of the international economy,on the one hand,our country takes the innovation driven development strategy as the guidance,supports the scientific and technological innovation which SMEs treat the independent innovation as the core,and actively plays a role of SMEs to the market economy’s vitality.On the other hand,the enterprises tend to adopt the way of cooperative R&D to share technology R&D costs,to accelerate the development of new technology,and maintain sustainable competitive advantages.Research joint ventures(RJVs),which take enterprises as the main body,take the market as orientation,and have the combination of production,teaching and research,as a kind of advanced technology innovation mode of cooperative R&D,become a new choice for the independent innovation ability ascension of SMEs.This study generalizes the related literature at home and abroad combined with the method of grounded theory,constructs the theoretical model of influencing factors of the independent innovation ability about the RJVs of SMEs.Based on the research model,the paper utilizes the method of grounded theory study and method of multiple cases study,chooses SPEED which belongs to the technology class,chooses SLAC which belongs to the manufacturing class,chooses SAFBON which belongs to the oekotech and chooses HUAREN pharmaceutical which belongs to the medical classas the four objects for the research.The paper operates the qualitative research software like Nvivo10 to conduct open coding,axial decoding,and selective decoding.As a result,the paper gets the influencing factors of the enterprise independent innovation ability,and designs the model of influencing factors of the independent innovation ability about the RJVs of SMEs.Analysis found that the external factors include market competition,government support and external evaluation,internal factors include talent and capital investment,R&D innovation,continuous learning and interests driving,coordination factors include members selectors and members trust.External factors play the decisive effects for the promotion of the capability of independent innovation.The factor of market competition accounts the most among them.Internal factors of the independent innovation capability of the SMEs RJVs provide material foundation,talent support and profit-driven effects,which R&D innovation takes the most effects.Coordination factors affect RJVs’ integrity and tightness,promote the members included in RJVs to communicate,cooperate and trust.By analyzing all the factors and their relations,the paper obtains the general model of influencing factors of the independent innovation ability about the RJVs of SMEs.Finally,on the basis of the general model,the paper puts forward to promotion countermeasures of SMEs independent innovation capability based on RJVs.This paper explores the influencing factors of the independent innovation ability about the SMEs based on the perspective of RJVs,and proposes the concrete solution countermeasures aiming at the effects of different factors.Among them,constructing the general model of influencing factors not only can effectively use of RJVs’ technology sharing,risk-sharing and other advantages,reduce investment risk of the innovation,improve the efficiency of innovation,but also further perfect the theoretical framework in the field of SEMs’ independent innovation ability,enrich the theory of RJVs’ objects and contents,and expand the research direction of RJVs theory.At the same time,it can provide a new theoretical support for SMEs to promote independent innovation ability.
