Study On The Growth Factors And Paths Of Agro-processing Start-ups

Agricultural products processing industry is an important "downstream industry" of agriculture,promoting the development of agricultural products processing industry is of great significance to realize the development of agriculture.The start-up period is a critical period for the enterprises.According to the statistics,the phenomenon of low survival rate of new ventures is ubiquitous.Under the background of public innovation and entrepreneurship,the start-up of agricultural products processing enterprises continue to emerge.How to make these start-ups grow healthily is a problem urgent to be studied.Very few scholars make research on start-up of agricultural products processing enterprises;therefore,it's of great theory significance and practical value to study on agricultural products processing start-ups growth factors and paths.Focus on the theme of the research,firstly,this paper reviews literature on agricultural products processing enterprises,start-ups growth factors and growth paths.And the research basement of the current situation and existing problems are pointed out.Secondly,the paper researches on the present situation of the agricultural products processing start-ups by statistical analysis method.the Chinese agricultural products processing start-ups presents the following characteristics: rapid growth of the number,small scale,lower level of human resources,lack of funds,declining profit margins,low ability to innovate,imperfect policy environment and so on.Thirdly,based on the literatures related to “the growth factors of start-ups”,the general theory about growth factors of start-ups is analysis by cluster analysis method.And 18 factors(the operation of resources,enterprise ability,enterprise environment,culture,social capital,enterprise image,enterprise scale,social responsibility)are gotten.Combined with the characteristics of agricultural products processing of start-ups,the main internal factors(human resources,innovation,enterprise culture and enterprise scale)and external ones(government support,social capital,corporate image and social responsibility)of agricultural products processing start-ups growth factors are summed up through analysis and exemplification.On this foundation,the growth path of the agricultural products processing start-ups is pointed out,that is agricultural products processing start-ups grow from "quantity" to "quality”.And the roles o f different factors in agro-processing start-ups' growth path are expounded.Then taking the start up period growth of Lu Hua Group as example,the growth path of agricultural products processing start-ups verified.At last,countermeasures to promote the growth of agro-processing start-ups are respectively put forward in the perspectives of internal factors and external ones.
