Commercial vehicle industry is in a critical phase of a renewal industrialization. With the maturity of the commercial vehicle industry, the competition is no longer only about product price, production technologies or equipment, but the competition has already extends to advanced management skills. Enterprises now focus on how to timely capture market demand changes and how to quickly balance production and ensure supply. A good supply chain has become one of the key competitiveness in the market. CTT is a key component player in the commercial vehicle industry. Their sales forecast and master schedule plan have been conflicting with each other for a long time within the organization. And this conflict has been resulted in decrease of customer satisfaction, increase of inventory cost and loss of its original competitiveness in supply chain.Based on existing studies, this thesis focuses on the conflict between sales forecast and master schedule plan in CTT, proposes to set up synchronized business planning process and capability to ease and eliminate the conflict between sales forecast and master schedule plan. This thesis studies the following three parts:(1) Deep-dive of how sales forecast conflicts with master schedule plan and the reasons behind within CTT, based on existing studies on sales forecast, master schedule plan, plus the understanding of CTT itself and the industry and their actual practice in sales forecast and master schedule plan.(2) Based on synchronized business planning, set up missing processes for sales forecast and master schedule plan, build-up strong linkage between product planning and master schedule plan. Create control plan to ensure information and data synchronization。Optimize and improve process capability to ensure expected performance and results. Set up a core platform for senior management decision-making, to further relieve the conflicts and to achieve sales and production sync.(3) Create key performance measure for sales forecast and master schedule plan, through which to push continuous improvement.This thesis is a practical summary across sales, planning and production, by providing an applicable solution to address the conflict from management point of view. This thesis, at the same time, also provides some reference to the whole supply chain in commercial vehicle industry to harmonize the conflicts between the frontline to backend.
