Hainan Regional Economic Coordinated Development Research

After Hainan separated from Guangdong to become its own province in 1988,Hainan province has experienced the fast development age which is named "golden age".From 1988 to 2014,the compound annual growth rate of Hainan's gross domestic product is as high as 15.81%.At the same time,however,the economic development between Hainan's various cities and counties obviously is not harmonious.According to the theory of regional economics,uncoordinated regional economic will restrict the continuous growth of the whole area.Therefore,the research of Hainan's regional economic coordination is very necessary.This paper system combed the related theory and literature about coordinated development of regional economy,and put forward the systematic explanation about the connotation,mechanism and evaluation standard of regional economic coordinated development.At the same time,based on the analytic hierarchy process(AHP)to establish the evaluation index system of the coordinated development of regional economy,and makes an empirical analysis of regional economy in Hainan province.The result shows that during 2002?2013,regional economic coordination degree of Hainan province has not been improved.According to the analysis of the regional economic coordination of Hainan province,this paper suggests taking the optimized path.That is to say,the developed regions should play a leading role.At the same time,the economic development ability of underdeveloped regions should be strengthened.Based on the selected path,this paper put forward six pieces of specific policy suggestions:directly support the economic development of middle and western Hainan province;Improve the ability to develop of less developed areas;Promote economic connection between the east and middle-western regions;Develop new industry of the middle area to be a new growth pole of Hainan province;sufficiently exploit the central region's advantage resources,develop some characteristic industry;promote the transformation and upgrading of tourism in eastern,makes the eastern area countries leisure vacation area.
