Research On The Construction Of Social Memory In Archives

In 1992,the UNESCO launched the "World Memory Project",this project aims to protect the world cultural heritage,to pay attention to the historical and cultural relics protection,to make their historical and cultural values be recognized by the whole world.With the "World Memory Project" carried out in the world,the research on social memory has attracted extensive attention of the whole society,the concept of "memory" has attracted much attention in research of archives.Based on its own characteristics,archival science puts forward a new theory "the archival memory".Under the influence of "World Memory Project",the archives also have the color of memory,and are regarded as the carrier of memory.As the institution for collecting and keeping archives,the archives are the bases for the centralized storage of the important archives of the country,and the center of the archives information resources for the public.Accordingly,archives should take the responsibility of building and inheriting social memory,and play an important role in the process of social memory construction.This paper is based on comprehensive archives,research the social memory construction of our country,defines the meaning and characteristics of social memory and some related concepts,discusses and studies the relationship between the archives and social memory construction work,expounds the current problems and shortcomings,analyzes its causes from different perspectives,and put forward constructive suggestions for the archives,in order to promote the archives social memory construction of our country.
