Donald Trump wins the 2016 U.S.presidential election successfully and will access in White House eventually.Meanwhile,the several months of dramatic electoral process will be remembered by American history.The social media have a great progress from the past election,which is not only promoted the American democratic politics,but also awakened the consciousness of local dewellers'participation in political,improving the political participation of citizens through this election.The public network environment of social media strengthen the supervision of politics,while the network under the "public opinion" in unattended situations sometimes will also bring adverse effects.Through the comparison of electoral process of two candidates,the research will focus on these statements in the following:Firstly,the impact of the mass media on the contemporary U.S.presidential election,reflecting its differences and limitations in the frontgroud and backstage areas.Secondly,sorting out and analyzing the literature,and summing up the social media on the image of the two candidates,basing on the design and party politics of image of various objective voters.Thirdly,comparing the differences between the candidates in the image crisis.The paper finds the role of social media in the construction of candidate image as a direct and significant way,which plays a positive and extended role in moedern society.The public opinion in the absence of supervision will also bring adverse effects.In the highly developed dissemination of contemporary social media.Only the candidate image completed its own internal ability and external performance harmoniously,which could be able to withstand the test of the public in election period,and brings out the tremendous power and invisible value of image.Actually,the image of the candidate of the interaction with public,self-expression,team cooperation,national political,social and economic development,national culture and media,the interaction of social context and historical background will also affect the success of the election results as well.Candidate image can not be considered as a single and simple process,so this research will be a worthy topic of further discussion.
