The Taiwan Media Analyzed The Reporting Framework Of “Ma Ying-jeou's Speech In Hong Kong”

“Ma Ying-jeou Hong Kong Speech Event" refers to Chinese Taiwan area' s outgoing leader Ma Ying-jeou planned to participate an award ceremony of SOPA in Hong Kong and deliver a speech,the theme of speech is the relationship about China mainland and Taiwan after“Xi Ma Meeting”in 2015,he also would talk about the situation of north-east Asia.But Tsai Ing-wen administration formally refused this application on June 12th.In the end,Ma Ying-jeou delivered the keynote speech by video call.This event is regarded as the first controversial event after the Taiwan third party turnover in May 20th,because of it related to a wide range,mainland of China,Hong Kong and Taiwan all keep close watch on the situation.In Taiwan,it also aroused debate and discussion on this topic.Four Chinese Taiwan area newspapers of China Times Weekly,United Daily News,Liberty Times and Apply Daily reported this event from June 2 to June 18,2016 respectively,the total number of reports is 196.We analyzed the reports of four newspapers,discuss the types of news,the sources of news,the attitude of main sources,the theme of news,the attitude of reports to understand how medias in Taiwan constructing the frame of controversial political news,we also find out the similarities and differences about these four medias.Compare with Liberty Times,United Daily News and China Times Weekly shows the opposite attitude towards Ma Ying-jeou,s visiting,the commercial newspaper Apple Daily,out of blue and green battle outside of the incident is a neutral attitude.In addition,because of the rich use of metaphor in controversial political news,especially in Taiwan medias.this study also analyzes the interactive relationship between metaphor and the construction of framework,so as to explore the interaction between political metaphor and political facts.This study also concludes that metaphor can support the construction of news framework in a certain extent;metaphor will also be dominated by the news framework,and in different situations,metaphor can exist within the limits of the framework and fulfill its mission.Finally,this study shows that the construction of media reality will be affected by the function of metaphor.All four newspapers bring complex story details by journalists through metaphor has been given new meanings and functions,and forms a complete story.This study through the unique and timeliness of the controversial events,select metaphorical perspective which is less involved in the past,to explore the new ideas of framework,and provides reference for the future researchers.This study has taken quantitative and qualitative combination of the way to explore relevant reports in a deeper level.We need to clear that,whether it is the interaction with the news frame or the impact of the real construction of the media,which play a similar role is not just a metaphor only Oone factor,the reason why we highlight it is the focu.s of this study Point of entry.
