| The Sanlian Life Weekly is a comprehensive magzine and established in 1995.After 20 years of development and exploration,the magzine adhering to keeping pace with the times,and then set up a brand image which has its own characteristics,particularly such as culture,newsworthiness,intellectual-cultural orientation.Meanwhile,it cultivates a batch of stable readership.This group is defined as the middle class senior intellectuals,they are received a good education and continuing to pursue their values,and also they have broad visoin and focus on international vicissitudes of era development.To sum up,I think the Lifeweek is a professional journal that provides the reader with a platform to observed the world.So,this issue has abundant research value and potential.The paper sorts out the developing process of the Lifeweek on international news coverage.And takes out the Lifeweek international news coverage from 2005 to 2016 as the research sample and adopt case study,sampling study,text analysis and other research methord to prove the characteristics of the Lifeweek on international news press.Considering all those factors,at last,sum up the deficiencies of present development,as well as suggesstions for the future development.Firstly,this paper from three different stages to analysis the development history about Sanlian Life Weekly on international news press.Actually,Sanlian Life Weekly inheriting the former Life Weekly reported concept on international news press.At that time,the leadership is Mr Zou Taofen,he'd proposed to establish the "Overseas Column".From 1995 to 2004,international news coverage was vatality and prosperity.Because,in this period,the Lifeweek has its own professional team members on news report,and the big background also maturity.So,they made many remarkable results in international new report.And since 2005,the Lifeweek had been revised,after revision of the international news reports is the key point of this study.Secondly,48 issues of Lifeweek from 2005 to 2016 are selected for sample in this study.Seperately from the column setting,content classification,topics and so on,the quantitative analysis was carried out on international news coverage.On the other hand,the author uses text analysis to make qualitative analysis for further research on characteristics of the world news report.Including guidance of public opinion,reporting in specialisation,refine on news headline,photo press enhance the emotional aspects of world news press.Finally,after the detailed analysis of substantial examples,some deficiencies have been found.For example,major international news are missing,topic types are partial to cultural too much,competitiveness of exclusive news is not as strong as decade ago.Aming at these problems,the author put forward some corresponding improvement strategies.Such as around the globe and focus on the local,adjust the agenda setting,balance the scales,cultivate high quality journalism,attach importance to major international news press. |
