Electric flat car is suitable for frequently carrying heavy objects between fixed points within short distance. It is the preferred carrier in the same and nearby plants. Electric flat car greatly saves manpower and improves the production efficiency. In order to meet the requirement of the special use environment of the electric flat car and realize the full automation of the load transportation process, this paper completes the design of the electric flat car control system.First of all, according to the technical requirements of electric flat car develops a design scheme. Electronic system is controlled by a PLC programmable controller. Flat car is driven by a frequency conversion motor, and its accurate position decided by the laser range finder and electric putter. Then the hardware of the electrical control system is designed, including electrical schematic design and core equipments selection. The electrical schematic diagram includes three parts: PLC circuit, power distribution circuit and control circuit. Core electrical equipments include PLC programmable controller, motor, frequency converter, displacement sensor and touch screen. As the electric flat car works in explosive gas environment, it must meets the corresponding level of explosion-proof electrical equipment requirements. For non-explosion-proof products are equipped with separate explosion-proof enclosures. And then the software of the electrical control system is designed, including the design of PLC control program and human-computer interaction interface. PLC control program is designed under STEP7 programming environment with LAD programming language and modular programming. Human-computer interface is designed with FD2000 configuration software. Finally, the electric flat car control system is debugged on vehicle.The design of electric flat car control system meets the technical requirements, realizes the full automation of the transport process. By trying the electric flat car operates goods, and achieves the desired objective. It can run smoothly in the explosive gas environment, position accurately and brake reliability. At the same time, electric flat car has the advantages of simple operation, large bearing capacity, long service life, easy maintenance and stable performance.
