An Exploratory Study On The Dimensions Of The Strategic Execution Of University Libraries In China

Strategic plan is the development directions and guides of university libraries,only transform the macro strategic objectives into specific tasks can make it to be worked and implemented effectively.At present,there are few researches on the constituent elements of strategy execution in library theorists.Many university libraries are not clear its dimensions and the targets.The purpose of this study is to explore its dimensions and elements and make libraries pay more attention to library strategic execution.At last,based on the obstacles to propose strategies.This study includes four main contents.Firstly,based on the literature research method to comb relevant literature and construct the theoretical system.Secondly,based on the expert interview method to interview some leaders,then used the conceptual list method to analyze the interview materials and explore its constituent elements.Thirdly,based on the theoretical and qualitative research to designe questionnaire and distribute throughout the country,then used the exploratory factor analysis to analyze data.Fourthly,based on the qualitative and empirical research to find the strategy executive situation and deficiencies,then from the perspective of dimensions to raise promotion strategy.There are several conclusions of this study.Firstly,redefined the meaning of library strategy execution from a comprehensive perspective due to the scholars have different views.Secondly,based on theoretical,qualitative,and empirical analysis to construct the theoretical system,then pointed out that strategic execution is composed of four dimensions.Finally,analyzed the problems in the implementation and puted forward the strategies from four aspects.
