Due to the damage of the circuit,Corona and arc discharge are found in the transmission,substation and distribution system of HV circuits.Accurate determination of the High-voltage system discharge position can determine the defective parts,and take appropriate measures,so as to reduce the loss of electricity.In order to detect the position of discharge quickly and accurately,this paper studies the image processing system of portable ultraviolet patrol line instrument.The portable Ultraviolet patrol Instrument image processing system adopts FPGA(field Programmable Gate array)and ARM(Acorn RISC Machine)design,using ADV7180 Video decoder chip to convert the corona discharge information collected by ultraviolet CCD and visible background image captured by CCD to digital video signal.In the FPGA,the median filter and time filter are processed to eliminate the noise interference,and the high quality video image is obtained.The video is encoded by FPGA and transmitted to the ARM processor via the video transmission module.The ARM processor will be combined with video from FPGA to determine corona discharge position.In order to facilitate the corona discharge position view,the system adds the video storage and the photograph photography function.The test results show that the portable UV patrol system is reliable,the overall power consumption is less than 10 W,the continuous use is 7 hours,the video resolution is 640×480,the frame frequency is 25 fps,and the various indexes reach the design requirement system can accurately judge the discharge position.
