The media image of Heilongjiang Province is a regional media image,it shows that Heilongjiang Province as an object of media coverage in some news.And it is an important way to understand Heilongjiang Province for outsiders.However,Heilongjiang Province occurred a lot of hot public opinion events in the recent period,and those events affected its the cultivation of media image.Especially,the negative image is obvious.Therefore it is necessary to study and value.The paper bases on the theory of mimicry environment and stereotypes,and use the content analysis method to study those reports about Heilongjiang Province in Beijing News and Southern Metropolis Daily,especially reports about some public opinion events,such as the incident of Harbin fire,the sexual event of NeHe prison,the shooting of Qingan,the death of an officer of disciplinary committee of CCP in Qingan and the event of Harbin expensive fish.It gets a preliminary media image of Heilongjiang Province about government,economy,society and people,but mostly negative images.At the same time,it explains the roles and forming reasons of the negative media image of Heilongjiang Province.Finally,it comes up with three aspects improvement measures pointedly to build a true,objective,comprehensive and positive media image of Heilongjiang Province.
