Digital pulse width modulation(DPWM)has strong anti-interference ability,high efficiency and good flexibility,therefore it has been widely used in switching power supply,communications,power control and transform and other fields.This paper proposed high resolution DPWM control circuits based on field programmable gate array(FPGA),which solved the problem of low resolution and instability of the traditional DPWM control circuit,and studied the DPWM control circuit.Firstly,two kinds of DPWM control circuit design schemes based on different FPGA resources are given in this article,which is based on embedded digital clock manager(DCM)module and IODELAY module;Secondly,this paper analyzed the two design schemes and presented an improvement design scheme after finding out the factors influencing its precision and unstable;Finally,a new kind of high resolution DPWM control circuit is put forward,which is made up of digital delay circuit using the FPGA Look-Up Table(LUT)module.Through the analysis of the DPWM control circuit and the specific hardware debugging,the resolution of DPWM control circuit based on FPGA can respectively reach 625 ps?78 ps and 1 ns when the input clock frequency is 50 MHz.The experimental results show that the proposed DPWM control circuit solves the problem of instability and low resolution of the traditional circuit and the proposed DPWM control circuit has wide application prospects.
