Sparse array is a new type of antenna array,sparse arrays to reduce the number of array elements,reduce the number of array element can not only reduce the cost and increase the array element spacing;the mutual coupling between array elements is weakened.It can be known from the direction of the array,and it is very complicated to match the position,the excitation and the phase of the element.Array optimization technique in this thesis is mainly refers to the expected pattern function under the premise of comprehensive optimization of array element position,motivation and phase of the array,the minimal unit to fit the pattern function.This paper uses matrix pencil method and augmented matrix pencil method to optimize the design of sparse antenna array,the main work and innovation as follows:This paper introduces the basic principle of matrix pencil method and augmented matrix pencil method,a detailed analysis of the application of signal model in signal processing when necessary,and gives the model for array antenna array synthesis when necessary.The matrix pencil method is used to optimize the linear array.This method has a very good optimization effect on the uniform spacing of the linear array.The shaped beam in the general direction of the graph,using the matrix pencil method will not be able to achieve the desired results,based on matrix pencil method,the paper studies a new method of forward and backward matrix pencil method,this method uses special matrix structure to the extremum point distribution can be accurately shaped beampatterns the reconstruction of expectations,and extended to multi-beam problems.Using MEMP method integrated planar antenna array,can ensure that any section of the direction map has the best characteristics.The key technology of this method consists of sampling point data to construct the augmented matrix and the extremum point obtained by pairing.The shaped beam in the general direction of the figure,the augmented matrix pencil method and backward thought combined with the research and analysis,a new method using forward and backward MEMP method,it is proved that the rapidity and validity of the method,later extended to multi-beam problems.
