Design And Implementation Of Mobile Nursing Information System Based On Android Platform

Entering in the 21st century, especially since 2000, the Science of Information Technology and the Network communication Technology have made some astonishing progress. It was widely used in various field, especially in medical industry. In the medical and health institution of many municipal city, the development of business intellectualization, informatization and data electronization has shown in an explosive pattern.In the same time, as population rapidly aging and the amount of labour force decreasing, the pressure put on the providing for the aged will dramatically increase. Community house and medical nursing unit will become a major option to solve the problem. As hospitals are in fast development and increasing volume of patients flow, the amount and the complexity of the work in the hospital wards are increasing in a daily basis. It will also require to response more quickly to every patients'need. All of these requirements made the traditional medical system failed to ensure the smooth and effective of the management nursing process and showing signs of powerless. Health care workers were burdened by the tedious paperwork and a mass amount of data in the traditional medical system. In order to deal with the situation, the hospital medical management methods need to be changed and adopt to more advanced application of mobile nursing information system to match hospital's HIS system. Currently, hospitals are fast on modernization so that every hospital are under tremendous pressure. Thus, the building of mobile nursing information system will provide series of convenience in the future.This paper will reveal the design and realization of mobile nursing information system based on Android platform. Due to the openness, popularity, and compatibility of the Android platform, the mobile nursing information system is able to programed and developed under Java environment. The communication procedure between nurse's handheld terminal and server can also be realized by using wireless communication technology. In the background stated above, this paper is aim to accomplish the work list below:1. Using the wireless communication technology to build the communication interface mechanism, define the communication protocol format, and complete data packing and analyzing.2. In Android terminal, establish local SQL database, the format of which need to be the same with the format of server database, achieve input and output of clinical data.3. Achieve to build developmental environment of Android application, familiar with features and system structure in development of Android application, master the developmental process and debug procedure of the Android application.4. Achieve the software design and development based on Android platform, in order to provide most accurate and current medical advice research results, medical advice administration, and body temperature input etc.
