| Since the late 1990s, technology of computer hardware, technology of wireless network communication and technology of Internet have been made rapid development, and people eager to seek out restraints of fixed network, cable Internet; then technologies of cellular communication, Global Position System, WAP technology, Bluetooth technology have been emerged in many fields and at different levels to meet the people's needs.With social development and technological progress, people have higher requirements to geographical information services now than before. For example, power line maintenance, troubleshooting gas pipeline, exploration field measurement work. Those staffs must leave their offices fixed locations to quickly and efficiently complete the work. Therefore, it was a pressing demand of approach with mobile ability and "5 A"(Anytime, Anywhere, Anybody, Anything, Anydevice) to the work of the geographic information system. In recent years, mobile geographic information system (Mobile GIS, MGIS) has developed rapidly. The research of mobile GIS development began in the 1990s. So far, it has realized navigation based on the image of 3-D virtual reality using mobile GIS abroad. Moreover, the core of China's mobile GIS development, at this stage, is LBS (Location Based Service) mainly.The construction of LBS system provides a bluepint for spatial information service and is a great significance to the construction of digital city. The paper is based on the Technology Development Fund item of Shanghai and 653 project item of Shanghai Information Committee, in-depth study of design and implementation technologies of the mobile location based services system, including mobile GIS theory and technology, Java ME technology, embedded database design and implementation, Mobile SVG profile, XML profile and so on. And explaining design and implementation of the mobile location based services system.The paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is "Introduction", explaining building background, objectives and significance of GIS-based mobile terminal location service system, and the status quo of domestic and foreign development and problems, then proposing research methods, technology line and research goals. Chapter II is "Location based services and mobile terminals", on the development and the main functions of the location based services and the development of mobile terminals. Chapter III is "Key technologies of the GIS mobile-based location based services", on key technologies of the GIS-based mobile service system, including mobile GIS, Java, embedded database, SVG, XML and so on. Chapter IV is "Design of the GIS-based mobile terminal location based services system", on the design of the GIS-based mobile terminal location based services system , database design, functions design and visualization of geographical data design. Chapter V is "Development and Implementation of the GIS-based mobile terminal location Service System", on the basis of previous research, on the GIS-based mobile terminal location based services system design and implementation. The final chapter of the paper is summary and prospect.I have got the following achivements by studyding:â‘ explaining the status quo of the development of location based service; a comprehensive analysis of the key features of location based service and the development trend of mobile terminals; in-depth study of technologies of design and implementation of GIS-based mobile terminal LBS system, and features and applications of the key technologies;â‘¡on Mobile SVG norms, designing map symbols with SVG; under GIS system design principles, completing the whole plan of GIS-based mobile terminal LBS system and design of function and database of the system;â‘¢in accordance with the norms and procedures of software development, completing software and hardware configuration of the system development platform, and finishing the development process of the system and the various functions of the system and implementation of GIS-based mobile terminal LBS system, finally. |
