Combining and excavating the feature of different sensor images, then making integration into a comprehensive image, which has evolved into an effective technical means. But obtaining and processing source images needs to take a lot of manpower and material. Taking advantage of computer graphics technology, scene simulation can reproduce the reality environment, now this technology has been applied to military, health care, transportation and other fields. So this paper proposes a simulation technology of fusion source image based on Vega.In this paper, firstly, introducing the relevant technical background and the study meaning, confessing the main frame structure and content. Secondly, stress introducing the design flow and software & hardware development platform of the system. Then based on software & hardware development platform, building the finite element model of fixed-wing fighter, tank, and soldier, mesh-computing, steady thermal analysis in order to get the temperature field distribution of these three objects; according to the shape and structure of these three objects, building the 3D model, producing materials, mapping vein, and setting temperature; according to the physical process of the image produced, generating the ADF file by loading atmospheric environment file; based on VC++ platform, designing the human-computer interactive interface, writing serial port program and simulation control program; based on FPGA platform, writing Verilog program. Based on these work finished, connecting the two computers and FPGA control board by serial cables, forming a system. In this system, make the choice of the keys on the control board can sent the order to two computers simultaneously, the serial port program in computer can realize monitoring the serial port, accessing data, recognizing data, simulation program can realize real time controlling the simulation. By means of serial communication between computer and control board, the sync video of simulation can been come true. Finally, applying Gauss-Laplace algorithm of image fusion to the non-synchronous and simultaneous infrared video image and LLL video image which are produced by system, comparing and analyzing the results, proving the availability of the simulation video image simultaneously produced by system.
