With the rapid development of information technology, Digital City is a direction of information technology for development of cities. For the city where people are living, through different ways of mapping, we can obtain three-dimensional data model. And using computer rendering engine, we can show city construction information which will make people more convenient. On the other hand, the field of preservation historic architecture is concerned by historians and architects. But the existing technology is not yet mature. A fast, efficient and inexpensive measurement system for establishment of three-dimensional model of the building is still in the research process.To solve this problem, for the structural characteristics of a particular building, that is the intersection of a square building has the characteristics, we studied the three-dimensional image measurement methods to obtain three-dimensional coordinates of the building and proposed to achieve a three-dimensional structure of the building automation measurement system based on binocular vision image measurement method. First, by comparing the existing three-dimensional coordinates acquisition method for three-dimensional measurement techniques, in order to meet short distance measurement, anti-interference ability and quick and cheap system, we chose binocular vision image measurement method selected. In order to reduce the error generated from camera parameters and captured image, we researched on camera calibration, image correction and realized Zhang Zhengyou calibration and image correction method based on correction lines calibration. In order to improve the accuracy of image coordinates, we researched on the corner feature detection, and image matching, using the Hough algorithm to extract straight lines and then calculate the intersection point of the center of gravity as the feature points, the improved gray image matching algorithm to obtain the corresponding points. In order to complete quick and efficient system, we design the user interface based on MFC and using Wi-Fi transmission image so that the system can obtain real-time three-dimensional coordinates of the building.Finally, by measuring the actual three-dimensional buildings windows and doors, we verify that the entire system can run well, and get the conclusion that the 3-D measurement system for construction is accuracy and reliable.
