3D measurement base on computer stereo vision is a new and developing technology with wide application prospect in the field of 3D profile and volume measurement. The key problems such as cameral calibration, characteristics obtaining and matching, image processing and 3D information calculation etc. are studied in the thesis and the hardware and software solutions of the measurement experimental system are proposed as well. In addition, an experimental platform base on binocular stereo vision is established and a set of measuring program is developed on MATLAB architecture. All the experiments including cameral calibration, 3D measurements of revolution and revolution-like objects operated on this system show that the designed 3D measurement experimental system succeeds in the 3D information reconstruction and the key parameters such as volume determination.
