Meng Qiujiang was a famous war correspondent in modern China who was known as “Liang Jiang” with Fan Changjiang. After the break-out of the Anti-Japanese War, he devoted himself to the National Salvation and Resistance against Japan Movement on press as a “Da Gong Bao” special correspondent who joined the interview of the war about Nankou, Yanmenguan, Pingxingguan, Tongguan and Shanxi battlefield. And Meng was received by Mao Zedong when he was interviewing in Yanan. Meng republished many famous writings in battlefield successively such as “Nan Kou Yu Hui Xian Shang”,“Tui Shou Yan Men Guan”,“Da Zhan Ping Xing Guan”,“Quan Mian You Ji Zhan Zhong De Shan Xi”,“Feng Huo Tong Guan”and so on. These articles were extremely popular at that time because of the highly realistic content, vivid exquisite language and the deeply full feelings. Meng worked for the “International News Service” and the “ China Young Journalists association” as a organizer and a leader. He had a special and full of contemporaneity attitude on the newspaper development of China and the attitude of journalist,so, he made valuable contributions in journalism theory. Meng supported the party's claim actively and promoted the party's anti-Japanese national united front policy passionately who did a lot of work for patriots from all walks of life.The major research approaches in this paper are content analysis and quantitative analysis. This paper will analyze the battlefield news letter's content classification and tendency, language and expression, narration and its characteristics. Above these, the writer will make a deep reading on his reports. In addition, this paper will further discussing the differences between Meng Qiujiang and the other typical journalists in the period of Anti-Japanese war. The research will starting from partisan and writing features. Striving to present a complete Meng Qiujiang more objective and stereo.
