Design And Implementation Of A Network Switch Management System Based On Django

With the development of switch technology, the switch function becomes more and more intelligent, complex and diverse. Network management plays an important part in current computer networks. The purpose of it is in order to allow the network better to meet the needs of users and managers, which can ensure that the network equipment operates reliably, securely, and efficiently. The management system of network is a part of Network management system(NMS) that controls the switch device. Therefore, it is urgent to develop the corresponding network switch management system.The development of this system is based on the Django framework network switch management system, and the Django framework is used by us. Django framework is written in language Python for rapid development and deployment of the Web site system. Meanwhile, it can connect multiple databases and its design uses a My SQL database for data storage.There are seven modules in the switch management system including register login module, password modification module, connected switch module, system information module, VLAN management module, the module of port aggregation and port configuration module. This paper mainly describes the system requirements, the design and implementation of seven modules. The core of the system is the port configuration module, port aggregation module and VLAN port configuration module. The port aggregation module means that two or more ports bound together to form a port in order to increase the traffic; the port configuration is mainly used to basic configurations of the switch, such as the speed of any port, mode of operation and so on; VLAN management is mainly used for the additions and deletions of switch's VLAN and lower port of VLAN.The three main network switch module implements basic management and configuration.Finally, the function of system operates quite well by tests, which can satisfy the general users on basic configuration and management of switch.
