Printed Circuit Board+Assembly(PCBA) is an important part of modern electronic equipment, its quality directly affect the product function and performance. At present, the process of PCBA inspection is done manually all the time. Due to the limit of people’s ability, the miss-inspection is incidental and inefficient. This paper is written about a auto-inspecting system for MSP430 hardware tools, features include firmware program, communication, the measure of voltage, the inspection of crystal oscillation, hardware circuit, FLASH, FRAM, EEPROM, get device’s ID and test records.The main content of this paper:the circuit design of the inspecting system; The program design of the master controller; The program design for four types of MSP430 hardware tools; Developing the system software based on Visual Basic; The architecture design of test fixture.The work of this paper is focused on the circuit design of the inspecting system and developing the system software; The difficulty is that according to the working principle of four types of MSP430 hardware tools design reasonable inspecting project.This paper has been successfully implemented each function of the auto-inspecting system which is well compatible with four types of MSP430 hardware tools, and run well on the factory test line, the efficiency of factory has greatly enhanced and the cost of factory saved.
