The Application Research Of Inquiry Learning In High School Geography Teaching

The curriculum standards give a clear explanation that the geography teachers in senior school should give full consideration of high school students' cognitive development rules.Based on students' learning need,teachers should discover and apply the following learning modes actively: independence,cooperation and exploration.Therefore with teachers' encouragement,students' independence learning and cooperative learning ability will be improved.Hence it's necessary to apply inquiry learning into senior geography teaching.Based on the situation of inquiry learning in senior geography teaching,the thesis adopts references,questionnaire,interviewing and case study to give a comprehensive analysis.And the thesis also offers some advice for this situation.The study includes the following parts:The first part gives an introduction of study background,significance,research status at home and abroad,research methods and ideas.The second part introduces the theory which includes psychology and the new curriculum reform.The theory of psychology gives a discussion of the following three parts: discovery learning,constructivism and humanistic theory.The third part introduces inquiry learning of geography on connotation and features.The fourth part gives concrete research and analysis.Through the questionnaire,the thesis gives a detailed analysis of inquiry learning of geography and finds the problems.The fifth part is advice and suggestion.The author gives proper suggestions from the perspectives of school,senior school teachers and students.The sixth part of the combination of high and one compulsory geography textbook content,select one of the class,the design of an inquiry-based learning case.
