In the beginning of the 21st century, 5E teaching model was introduced into China,which had remarkable effects on helping students to know the prescientific concept,explore scientifically and acquire scientific concept. This teaching model could provide support in teaching method for the reform of science curriculum in our country.Under the guide of Taylor's theory of behavioral objectives, the "mitosis" lesson was selected as the research object to construct the system of evaluation index and design corresponding evaluation tool. Additionally, the teaching design was carried out by using 5E teaching mode and traditional teaching, respectively. And then the merits of the two teaching methods were compared through empirical research.Based on the three-dimensional goal of the "High School Biology Curriculum Standard", three first-level indicators of this lesson were determined, which were biological science knowledge, biological science skills and emotional attitudes and values, respectively. According to the specific goal of "High School Biology Curriculum Standard ", nine relevant secondary indicators were determined through the interview method, and then the framework of the evaluation index system was formed.Specially, the weight of each index was determined by using the method of analytic hierarchy process (AHP), finally the evaluation index system of this class is formed.In the light of the teaching objectives and evaluation index system of this course, the author initially designed the questionnaire to evaluate the achievement degree of knowledge goal and ability goal, and did the evaluation scale of emotional attitudes and value to assess the goal achievement degree. Some students were selected to participate in the initial test, then the relevant data was obtained and analyzed by using SPSS software. Subsequently, further modification was made to ensure the high quality of questions and scales. The final questionnaire is composed of 10 questions,corresponding to six secondary indicators, which are the original knowledge,observation and analysis skills, information interpretation skills, reasoning skills, and language expression skills, respectively, of which the proportion were 37.22%, 13.95%,11.63%, 9.30%, and 4.65%, respectively. In addition, the evaluation scale is composed of 9 questions, corresponding to three secondary indicators of biological science perspective, learning interest and scientific attitudes, of which the proportion were 7.75%, 5.17% and 10.33%, respectively. It must be pointed that the content and the weight are corresponding to the evaluation index system properly.The results of these two teaching models showed that the 5E teaching model had advantages in the improvement of students' "biological science skills" and the formation of "emotional attitudes and values". Especially,it appeared to help students improve observation and analysis skills, language skills and enhance their interest in learning.Compared with the traditional teaching model, the low-score group of students exhibited a slight disadvantage in the study of "originality knowledge" under 5E teaching model. This requires teachers to give full play to the leading role, and achieve individualized teaching when using 5E teaching mode. Meanwhile taking into account the multiple teaching links in this mode, teachers need prepare adequately before class,arrange the teaching process reasonably in class to ensure the quality of teaching.
