One of the obvious characteristics of geography is regional, regional geography in China has been the core content of middle school geography curriculum?The compulsory education curriculum standard (2011 Edition) points out that one of the main characteristics of compulsory education geography curriculum is "regional", and regional geography is the main content of Geography Curriculum. Learning regional geography is not only to understand the geographical location, natural and cultural characteristics of each region, but also to master the learning area. Therefore, the cultivation of students' learning ability of regional geography is the most important in junior high school teaching. In order to cultivate the students' ability of regional geography learning, this paper studies the cultivation of junior middle school students'geographical learning ability from three dimensions of geography curriculum standards, textbooks, students and geography teachers. In the curriculum and teaching materials, the analysis of "compulsory education curriculum standards" (2011 Edition)in the "understanding of the region," the standard", on the basis of the corresponding specific chapters "standard" and the PEP geography textbooks on the junior high school students should be summed up with three kinds of regional geography learning ability: the ability to compare regional positioning ability, comprehensive ability,regional analysis. In the junior high school students, according to the "standard" and the relevant content of the teaching materials, the paper designs the questionnaire for the students from three dimensions: the interest of the students, the learning ability and the existing problems, and investigation in the city of Nanjing's foreign language school and the tenth Middle School of Datong, and analyze the survey results, the differences between regions and between grade and gender differences between the three aspects based on a comprehensive understanding of the current status of the students. In the geography teachers, the analysis of survey results, stimulate learning interest from the three aspects of teaching methods, establish a rich geographical thinking, and put forward to cultivate the students learning ability of regional geography teaching strategies and corresponding teaching design. Training strategy of regional positioning ability: drawing board pictures to enhance the contour image,making the theodolite training model of space thinking,using Google Earth to stimulate interest; training strategy of regional analysis and comprehensive ability:thinkmap constructing knowledge structure, establish comprehensive analysis and thinking, pay attention to mining life experience the relationship among subjects;training strategy of regional comparative ability table: the use of induction, the associative thinking, the use of network video enhancement intuitive feelings. This study is expected to provide a reference for junior high school geography teachers.
